Drums beaten by Kildare champions

Behind from start to finish Drumbaragh were soundly defeated 0-6 to 2-11 by Two Mile House in the Leinster Club JFC at Pairc Tailteann today.

The Meath side conceded the opening goal of the game after seven minutes and from then on they were facing a big uphill task.

They trailed 0-2 to 2-7 at the interval with their only scores coming from a John Smith free and a Willie Carry point from play. Drumbaragh also had Noel Corcoran sent off in the closing stages.

While the Meath side enjoyed most of the possession in the second-half they were unable to find a way through for the goal they so badly needed to get themselves back in the game.

Aidan Casey was Two Mile House's main dangerman helping himself to 1-6 with their other goal netted by Niall Browne.

Two Mile House had in their ranks All-Star Peter Kelly and number of players who have turned out for Kildare at various levels.

Smith, Ryan Farnham, Darragh McNamara and DJ Carry pointed for the Drums in the second-half.
