Kells welcomes Byron fans

Kells Arts Club will welcome the Irish Byron Society and Newstead Abbey Byron Society from Nottingham in England to Kells this weekend.
It will be a weekend in which they will celebrate the life and works of Lord Byron, his friendship and literary relationship with Thomas Moore.
Activities get off to a start on Saturday with a visit to Tara for a talk and coffee, and a browse in the bookshop followed by visit to Donaghpatrick Church and lunch in Teltown House.
On Sunday, a bus departs for Trim Castle at 10am and the group will meet the Trim Writers’ Group. There will be lunch in Rockfield House with an address by Mr Allan Gregory, Chairman of the Irish Byron Society. Dinner that evening will be at The Bective Restaurant at 8pm.
