Lost Brothers at Picnic and beyond

The Lost Brothers, Oisín Leech from Navan and Mark McCausland from Omagh have a number of gigs confirmed over the next few weeks, including The Electric Picnic on 31st August, and are very busy preparing to record their fourth album.
They play The Electric Picnic at 6pm on Saturday 31st August, on the Traier Park Jerry Fish Electric Sideshow Theatre, a stage which also includes Lisa Hannigan, Colm Mac Con Iomaire from The Frames and others.
They will be performing in Vicar Street on 5th October, a charity concert organised as part of RTE’s Music Week.
As part of Music Week, they will perform at two mystery locations on a train travelling around Ireland at the end of September, shows will be aired on RTE Radio 1. The music train features Paul Brady and many more. RTE's Music Week will end with a special charity concert at Vicar Street on Saturday October 5th where the Lost Brothers will perform on the night.
They will also play The Monaghan Harvest Blues Festival from 6th to the 8th September which includes Little Jimmy Reed and many internationals bands, they will play at 2pm each day.
The Lost Brothers will perform at Festival No 6 In Portmerion Wales on Friday September 13th at 4pm on the Woodlands Stage. The Festival also features Badly Drawn Boy, Johnny Marr, John Cooper Clarke.
They then play The Americana Music Association Festival in Nashville. Tennessee on 21st September at 11pm at The Station Inn. Then on 27th September they return home to play the Ards Guitar Festival, at 2pm at The Queens Hall in Newtownards County Down. Also playing at the event is Preston Reed who played the Soltice Arts Centre a few years ago.
The Lost Brothers play the Imagine Arts Festival at The Forum Theatre, Waterford at 7pm on Saturday 26th October.
The Lost Brothers toured with Glen Hansard for six weeks in the US last year from Boston to San Francisco and last month the band were called onstage by Glen Hansard at his Iveagh Gardens Show. At their New York concert Steve Wickham from the Waterboys joined the band on stage at The Mercury Lounge.
They played a headline show in Whelans in May, a show which coincided with the release of their EP Bird in a Cage. They released their third album The Passing of the Night last September and they are looking forward to recording the follow up.
Oisin Leech says: 'it’s been a busy enough couple of years with gigs and looks like next few months ahead are looking good.
“It’s nearly time to go back to the studio and start the 4th album. I love to get home for few days rest now and then because the Navan music scene is always buzzing and this is where my friends are. When a Lost Brothers gig comes in, it’s time to travel again. I enjoy the gigs and as they say in the film Wayne's World 'I like to play'”.
