Fred Cooke

Ready, Steady, Cooke at The Central!

Navan Laughs at The Comedy Central returns on Thursday 25th July headlined by Kells native and rising Irish comedy star Fred Cooke.

Fred is familiar to most as Fergus in the hugely successful series of Spar ads but he is also one of the most accomplished comedians working the Irish circuit today. He’s no stranger to our TV screens after the ad breaks, having appeared on the likes of Republic of Telly, The Savage Eye, The Cafe, The Modest Adventures of David O'Doherty and lots more. He’s just performed his first solo show at Vicar Street and has played every major comedy festival going. Don’t miss him!

As usual, the support acts are top class. Robbie Bonham, a regular Laughter Lounge headliner, has taken the comedy world by storm since winning 98FM’s Best Dublin Comedian. The Galway Independent have called him “a hard hitter on the comedy circuit” while Capital Magazine said he’s “quirky, zany and most importantly funny”. Rising talent Danny O’Brien completes the line-up. Danny is “a serious young talent in the making” according to the Examiner and is “destined for stardom” said the Laughter Lounge. He’s won FM104’s Best Comedian and the Tedfest Best Act this year and is in top form. Alan Gernon is your Resident MC.
