Family fun day at An Grianan

A very special Family Fun Day, in aid of Down Syndrome Ireland will take place on Sunday 4th August at the An Grainán Adult Education College, Termonfeckin, Drogheda, Co Louth.

The highlight of the day will be a Kiddies Fun Run, led by An Grainán’s very own 'Bear in the Woods' and adults and kids looking for a bigger challenge can join in the fun with a 7.5km Walk/Run.  Providing entertainment on the day will be 'The Enemies' a Louth based energetic pop/rock band who recently released a new single “Smile” in aid of Down Syndrome Ireland.

The event which starts at 12 noon and finishes at 6pm and funds raised will go towards Down Syndrome Ireland and the Louth/Meath Branch

Clare Leonard from the Louth/Meath Branch was representing Down Syndrome Ireland said ‘It is a fantastic event, and we are delighted that we are involved once again this year. This year’s event has grown and with all the fun activities planned, the 7.5km run and the Enemies playing, it is sure to be a great day. The day raises a lot of funds and awareness for Down Syndrome Ireland and we would like to thank everyone who is supporting the event.’

Other activities include a Teddy Bear’s Picinc, BBQ, HB Ice Cream Party, Bouncing Castle and Face Painting – with lots and lots more surprises on the day – for kids of all ages!
