Dance group on mission to showcase Meath

Calling all painters, sculptors, organisations or other members of the public who may have artistic pieces available that promote Meath and the cultural distinctiveness of the county.
The Ann & Bob Carney School of Irish Dancing are taking a group of 21 dancers and four musicians to represent Ireland at a dance festival in Schlitz central Germany from Wednesday 10th July to Wednesday 17th July.
“On the last day of the festival, during the closing ceremony, each country is required to present the festival organisers and the Mayor of Schlitz with items promoting their region,” explained Ann Carney.
“We are looking for any local artists, sculptors, or local organisations etc who would be willing to donate any pieces promoting county Meath on an international stage.”
Those interested in making a contribution can contact Ann Carney on (087) 6336495.
