Toner again involved in Irish victory

Ireland wrapped up a comfortable 40-14 victory over Canada at the BMO Field, Toronto earlier today with Devin Toner playing a full part in the big win.

The previous week Ireland overcame the challenge of the US Eagles 15-12 in Houston but this was a much more one-sided affair.

Toner again lined out at lock forward against the Canadians and he helped to create the openings as Ireland ran in six tries.

Three of the touchdown were scored by Toner’s Leinster team-mate Fergus McFaddan with Andrew Trimble, Darren Cave and Tommy O'Donnell adding touchdowns.

A crowd of 20,396 watched the game close to the centre of Toronto in warm conditions. This was the biggest crowd to attend a test rugby game in Canada.
