Pippa Funnell on Billy Beware at Tatts.

Pippa in first and second place at Tattersalls

Day one of the Tattersalls International Horse Trials and Country Fair at Ratoath saw Pippa Funnell of Great Britain take first and second spot in The Irish Field CCI*** after the dressage phase with Billy Beware leading the way on a score of 40.4 and Billy Landretti in second position on a score of 46.5. Best of the Irish on day one was Aidan Keogh with Master Tredstep finishing their dressage on a score of 51.7 leaving them in seventh place.

Leading the way after dressage in the George Mernagh Memorial CIC*** is Great Britain’s David Doel riding Koyuna Sun Magic with a score of 52.3. Best of the Irish is Captain Geoff Curran partnered with The Jump  finishing off the day on a score of 56.1 which puts them into fourth place.

The Tattersalls International Horse Trials & Country Fair in association with Horse Sport Ireland continues tomorrow with day two of dressage, continues Saturday with the Cross Country element of the competition and concludes on Sunday with Show Jumping. - John Donohoe
