New healthcare storage company opens in Ashbourne

A new cold storage facility for multinational and indigenous healthcare companies has been opened in Ashbourne by Expeditors, a global logistics company, which is listed on the Fortune 500.

Speaking at the opening, local Fine Gael TD Regina Doherty said the facility, which provides five jobs, represents a significant investment by Expeditors in the local economy  in Ashbourne.

'I’m delighted to be here today to open this exciting new facility, which will hopefully lead to new business opportunities for Expeditors’ Irish operations,' she said.

'The company will be able to provide high quality storage for healthcare companies, because it has heavily invested in this new state of the art pharmaceutical storage facility. I know a huge amount of work has gone into bringing this new facility to fruition, including acquiring licensing and certification from the Irish Medicines Board. And by providing these high quality services here in Ireland, we can copper fasten our reputation as being an ideal location for foreign direct investment.
