New Macra president elected
Kieran O’Dowd from Gurteen, Co Sligo, has been declared the 34th Macra na Feirme national president, following presidential elections. He is the first Macra President to hail from County Sligo.
Paddy Delaney from Portlaoise Macra club in Laois was elected as Leinster vice-president. Paddy’s vice-presidential term will run from his inauguration at the Macra na Feirme national AGM held on May 11TH in Charleville, Co Cork, until May 2015
.Results were also announced in the vice-presidential elections for Macra’s two other regions, Munster and the North West.
Sean Finan from Castlerea Macra, Co Roscommon was declared the winner in the North-West race while James Healy from Donoughmore Macra club, Muskerry, Cork was elected for the Munster position.
