Kiltale say it best with roses
Meath's senior hurling champions Kiltale hosted their annual awards ceremony at the Ardboyne Hotel, Navan last night where Kilkenny huling boss Brian Cody was the special guest.
All the awards were presented - and as Kiltale won so many honours last year it was a lengthy process.
Brian Cody delivered an inspirational address for the Kiltale players and on a night when there was so much to celebrate, the fact thatthe Kilkenny manager was accorded complete attention indicated the respect for the man.
Apart from that, and the individual club awards for the men and women, it also appears that everything is rosy in the garden out around Kiltale way and the secret for their success is down to a previously unknown softer side to the players.
The Meath Chronicle will be monitoring developments at other clubs over the next few weeks, but we expect to see Kildalkey's Pat O'Halloran and Martin Curran of Rathmolyon visiting local florists over the next few weeks.
