'Lovely Girls' competition in The Central

Navan’s Shamrock Festival is kicked off this Thursday March 14th in The Central Bar, with a charity 'Lovely Girls' competition in conjunction with Navan Laughs. Navan Ladies Rugby team provide the lovely ladies for the tongue-in-cheek competition made famous in an episode of Father Ted. All proceeds go to Project Zambia and the ladies’ rugby club.

Navan Laughs’ Alan Gernon MCs the event with rounds made famous in Craggy Island’s pageant including Lovely Laugh, Walking and sandwich making. Some of Ireland’s top comedians join the revelry, headlined by Dubliner Eric Lalor. Eric shot to fame on Des Bishop’s Joy in the Hood and most recently appears as the co-presenter on the Craig Doyle Show. He’s been voted Ireland’s Top Comedian for the past two years by Entertainment.ie

Tickets are available from The Central or www.ticketstop.ie for €10 with meal deals available for €25, which includes a ticket for the event and two courses. The night will kick off at 8.30pm.
