Pryle's 'Magic' prize

Navan community activist Paddy Pryle was caught by surprise by Derek Mooney and Brenda Donoghue on 'The Mooney Show' on RTE Radio today when he was the recipient of the 'Mooney's Magic' prize for his community work. Paddy and his family - who were in on the secret - were guests at the show's live broadcast in the Solstice Arts Centre in Navan when the surprise was sprung on him. The Skryne native was presented with two tickets for a flight to Canada - appropriately as he was being honoured for his work in the Navan2Navan group, pairing Navan in Meath with Navan in Ontario, as well as festivals such as the Shamrock Festival, Meath Beo and Navan's St Patrick's Day Parade. The fully booked out live broadcast featured Athboy's Bláthnaid Ní Chofaigh, Brian Dunphy of The High Kings, Tara Flynn, The Irish House Party and Table Topics Finalist Mairead Murphy.
