Ashbourne Community School won the North Leinster Schools' SF B League title with 1-11 to 0-6 win over Scoil Dara Kilcock today. Ashbourne lost midfielder Jack Toohey due to a first-half leg injury and Scoil Dara were first on the scoreboard when midfielder William Bright pointed. However, two points from Ashbourne's Sean Byrne got the hosts motoring and further scores from Conor Carton, Jack Hannigan, Niall Moriarty, Aidan Hughes and Cian Lynch gave the Meath school a 0-7 to 0-5 interval lead. Ashbourne continued in the ascendancy in the second half and Hannigan was on hand to finish Niall Lenehan's centre to the net to give his team a five-point cushion. Hughes and Hannigan extended the Ashbourne lead while Kilcock had to wait till the 25th minute for their only score of the half from Conor Lyons.
