Drama League workshops for North East

The Drama League of Ireland is organising a regional meeting/workshop for members and prospective members in the North East - Cavan, Louth, Leitrim, Longford and Meath. It will be held on Saturday 10th November in the Backyard Arts Centre in Cavan. Admission is free and a light lunch will be provided. Registration is at 10.30 a.m. Anyone wishing to attend should book with Willie O'Brien (willie.obrien@gmail.com). Members of the DLI executive will give information on topics including insurance, the Summer School, organising workshops. The workshop will be given by local man Padraic McIntyre. Padraic is a native of Bailieboro, Co Cavan and trained as an actor at The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff. He has an MA in Theatre Studies from DCU. Padraic is Artistic Director of Livin' Dred Theatre Company based in The Ramor Theatre in Virginia and has directed many of their award winning productions such as The Beauty Queen of Leenane, The Dead School and There Came a Gypsy Riding. He also wrote and directed The Night Joe Dolan's Car Broke Down.
