County colours prominent

The two winners at Navan yesterday with Meath connections both won, by coincidence, in the county GAA colours with Duleek businessman Sean Gallagher winning the last and trainer Joanna Morgan also on the mark. Gallagher had his first winner at Navan when Face Value narrowly landed the concluding handicap for north Dublin trainer Ado McGuinness despite carrying one pound overweight. Jockey Ian Brennan also received a one day suspension for using his whip with excessive frequency. Morgan took a maiden race and caused an upset in the process when her Roma Tumu got the better of the 1/3 favourite Morga by a short head. The Jim Bolger-trained Morga was finishing second in Navan for the second time this month.
