Gordon Elliott and Annie Bowles

Bondage popular

Gordon Elliott continued his good run of of form with another winner at Cheltenham today. This time it was Bondage which is owned by the Bodhran Makers Syndicate and they were all celebrating after the five-year-old won a handicap hurdle with AP McCoy on board. McCoy held Bondage in mid-division for the early part of the race, but made headway approaching the third last. The duo challenged after clearing the second last and although Bondage clattered the final flight managed to stay on well for victory. Down at Cork, Moynalty jockey Declan McDonogh partnered his 29th winner of thes eason and second of the weekend when the Kevin Prendergast-trained Qasser readily justified 8/13 favouritism to win the final race.
