Fatal accident on M3 motorway

Gardai in Navan are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred at Junction 7 on the M3 Southbound at approximately 6am on Sunday morning 14th October. A male motor cyclist in his 40s was fatally injured when he lost control on his motorcycle and collided with a barrier at the Blundelstown Interchange near Garlow Cross. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The slip road at Junction 7 Southbound on the M3 has been closed pending the completion of an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and diversions are in place. The M3 remains open. On Monday, the deceased was named as Michael Daly, aged 41, of Twomilehouse, Naas, Co Kildare.
