Flash mob introduces Meath's Halloween Festival

Meath Tourism used a flash mob to introduce its Spirits of Meath Halloween Festival to the wider public on Friday at Navan Town Centre. The festival takes place all around the county from 19th October to 5th November next. Meath Tourism had a stand in the shopping centre all day to provide information on events and special accommodation offers but a spooky Halloween surprise caught the crowd unawares as a flash mob of zombies dancing to 'Thriller' caused Friday evening shoppers to stop in their tracks. The dancers were from Dance Force Academy, a dance school in Trim. For more information on the festival check out www.spiritsofmeath.ie, a new website devoted to the Spirits of Meath Halloween Festival. The website provides information on the full list of spine-tingling events taking place in every corner of County Meath, making it Ireland's biggest (and scariest!) Halloween festival, delighting and frighting equally! This is the fourth consecutive year Meath Tourism will promote Ireland's biggest Halloween festival which celebrates the fact that the Halloween festival is reputed to have begun at the Hill of Ward, outside Athboy, where the Samhain festival was staged.
