Davy Dunne launches new EP 'Try' in Beggy's Bar, Bridge Street, Navan tomorrow night, Thursday 28th June.

Davy Dunne returns to his songwriting roots

Returning to your passion can be a hard thing to do. For Navan man Davy Dunne returning to his roots means returning to the no-holds barred type of songwriting he has consistently wowed critics over the years, especially as on his 'Death of a Hometown' album. Influenced heavily by all genres, Davy has always written songs on his own terms. Blurring the lines of what is thought to be mainstream/alternative, he has a style truly of his own. Davy has teamed up with talented musicians, Barry Leonard (bass), Martin Quinn (guitar)and Andrew Quinn for his latest EP release, 'Try', the long awaited follow up to 'Death of a Hometown'. Critics are already giving rave reviews and songs like 'No Temptation' and 'Penny Gray' have received a lot of airplay already across the Dublin independent stations. Davy formally launches the new release in Beggy's Bar, Bridge Street, Navan tomorrow night, Thursday 28th June, and all are welcome to join him. After some quirky Dublin appearances like an acoustic set on top of Sweeney's Bar on Dame Street and a lively set in Tower Records on Wicklow Street in Dublin, Davy will be playing the EP live and some old favourites as well at the launch. The EP will be available to download from itunes from then and will also be available to buy in CD format. Also tomorrow night, Davy will play three songs on Near FM's Near Sessions on 90.3FM and will also be interviewed by Dave Rigney. This will go out live at 8pm. There will be no cover charge on the night and the CD will be available to buy at the venue.
