'Terrific Trim' aims to showcase historic town to golf visitors

The upcoming Terrific Trim Festival is a celebration of the Solheim Cup this September, according to the organisers who launched the festival recently. The festival will run from Monday 19th to Sunday 25th September in Trim and the retail, business and hospitality sectors have come together to welcome and provide entertainment, places of interest and cultural activities for tourists visiting Meath for the golf tournament and local residents alike. The main events are an open-air concert, featuring Jack L, Sharon Shannon and Liam O'Connor, the Rehab Meath People of the Year dinner and awards night, the European Women in Business dinner, heritage and cultural events and the Terrific Trim Ladies Golf Challenge final. The Terrific Trim festival has also released a brochure with all the events listed on it and the the Terrific Trim website (www.terrific-trim.ie) has an overview of all there is to do in the area. The committee has thanked the Trim Chamber of Commerce, Meath County Council, Trim Urban Council, Meath Tourism, the volunteer groups and Trim Tidy Towns committee for all their support and commitment in helping to organise the event.
