Bantics continue

Meath senior football manager Seamus McEnaney will be looking for another replacement for his backroom team after it emerged that Paul Grimley has now departed in favour of a similar role with the Armagh team, a role he held previously. Grimley was with McEnaney when the current Meath manager was in charge of Monaghan and the partnership remained intact with the move to the Royal County. McEnaney also had local selectors in Liam Harnan and Barry Callaghan, but they departed a few months ago and the rumblings over their dramatic exit continue. Both Harnan and Callaghan have submitted letters to Meath Co Committee about the resignations and delegates at the next monthly meeting of the Board (12th September) have indicated that want to the contents disclosed. That matter will be discussed by the management meeting (next week) and the departure of Grimley is also likely to be on that agenda. Tom Keague is the only selector in place at the moment, subject to ratification for another term, and it's looking increasingly likely that Graham Geraghty will be officially in the backroom team for 2012. The departing Grimley has now joined Paddy O'Rourke who has had his tenure as manager of the Armagh team extended.
