Jason Maguire update
Kilmessan jockey Jason Maguire appears to have escaped serious injury following yesterday's fall at Cartmel (see story below) and should now be able to look forward to his forthcoming wedding in his home village on Thursday 8th September. Maguire will tie the knot with Lauren Kitchen on that day and the event is sure to attract a huge crowd of local well-wishers along with the invited guests. It is understood that the injury could be ligament damage and not either a broken arm or dislocated shoulder as originally feared. SATURDAY STORY Kilmessan jockey Jason Maguire was brought to hospital this afternoon by helicopter with a suspected broken arm following a fall in the fourth race at Cartmel. Maguire was on board Keyneema, a horse he won on at Fakenham in 2009, but on which he pulled up the last time he rode the horse at Sedgefield. The day started well for Maguire with a double for trainer Donald McCain in the opening two races with Sara's Smile and Gulf Punch. The Kilmessan man was going well in the fourth race when he was hampered at the 10th fence, a handicap chase, on board the Cathy Hamilton-trained Keyneema, but he walked from the track with his arm in a sling.
