The Walls 'Two Man Audio Visual Show' can be experienced live at Swan Lane, Navan on Saturday 27th August.

'Stunning' show from The Walls for Swan Lane!

The Walls play Navan music venue Swan Lane this Saturday night. Steve and Joe Wall write great songs and over the years many of them have become embedded in the Irish psyche. Songs such as 'Brewing up a Storm', 'Romeo's on Fire' and 'Half Past Two' - from their days in their previous band - The Stunning, are still heard regularly on air, while songs such as 'To the Bright', 'Shining Sun' and 'Bone Deep' introduced The Walls to a whole new audience. The band always lived for the music. No hype, no latest craze, no flavour of the month.... just great songs that withstand the passing of the years. A string of platinum and gold-selling albums have proved that Irish music lovers know a good thing when it comes to music. For the last two years Joe and Steve have been working on a two-man show with a difference. As well as playing a variety of instruments themselves they are joined onstage by virtual band-mates playing drums, bass, guitar, keyboards, mandolin and brass instruments. It's an audio-visual feast of images and video footage projected onto a screen behind them. It has enabled them to take their music abroad when budgets don't allow for taking the whole band and it has given audiences a completely new experience to the usual format of an acoustic, stripped-down gig. The show has been getting a great response from audiences both in Ireland, France, Austria, the Czech Republic and the US where they performed at the SXSW Festival last March. The brothers are performing new tracks from their forthcoming album as well as songs from their extensive back catalogue. For most of the last three years The Walls have been busy in their studio, writing and recording the new album 'Stop the Lights'. The new recordings are more diverse sonically than previous work - guitar riffs merged with strong beats and vocals, layers of keyboards, sounds and harmonies. This album, like the last one New Dawn Breaking, has been several years in the making but as frontman Steve succinctly puts it, "you've got to go away in order to come back". A brand new 4-track EP 'Bird in a Cage' out now with the new album 'Stop the Lights' due out in the autumn. Bird in a Cage is currently to be heard on radio stations nationwide and the title track is available as a free download from www.thewalls.ie. It's another slice of original, catchy and melodic songwriting that the Wall brothers do so well. The audience in Navan will hear songs from the last two albums 'Hi-Lo' and 'New Dawn Breaking' as well as some new tunes and the odd foray into The Stunning's back catalogue. So expect a night of musical gems, hands in the air and singing your hearts out! The Walls 'Two Man Audio Visual Show' can be experienced live at Swan Lane, Navan on Saturday 27th August.
