Graham Geraghty celebrates after the 'goal' against Kildare.

Injury forces Geraghty to quit training session

Graham Geraghty was forced to opt out of a training session with Meath last evening (Tuesday) putting a question mark over his availability for the Royal County's All-Ireland qualifier with Louth on Saturday 25th June at Breffni Park. Geraghty took a knock to a calf muscle in the game against Kildare and it is also understood he picked up a similiar injury in last night's training session. "He was kicked in the calf but he's not too bad, he should be okay for the Louth game," said an official from Geraghty's club Clann na nGael. The 38-year-old made his return to inter-county football after a three-year absence when he came on against Kildare and scored a controversial disallowed 'goal' with his first touch. He was picked out as one of Clann na nGael's best players in their 3-8 to 0-12 victory over St Colmcille's in the IFC last weekend.
