Ger O'Neill played a crucial role for Dunsany in the Tailteann Cup final victory.

Silverware for Dunsany

Dunsany created a little bit of history at Pairc Tailteann tonight when they became the first team to win the Tailteann Cup. Dunsany looked like they were well on their way to victory when they took a 1-10 to 0-5 lead to the dressing rooms at half-time. However, Curraha displayed great battling qualities and got back into contention. Dunsany's lead was reduced to two points (1-13 to 2-12) a minute from time when Alan Carroll converted a Curraha penalty, but Dunsany dug deep and claimed a vital third goal. The Tailteann Cup will be on display at the Kilmessan / Dunsany annual presentation night on Friday next 8th April. Full report and analysis in next Meath Chronicle.
