Violin virtuoso Vladimir has dates in Trim and Ratoath.

Classical violinist Jablokov returns to Meath venues

Vladimir Jablokov, a classically trained violin virtuoso from Slovakia, is heading back out on the road next month, taking with him his peerless sextet of young Slovakian and Irish musicians, and playing the unique fresh hybrid of music old and new he calls 'Classical Twist' - where Bach meets Bowie, and Van Morrison meets Mozart. Since the first 'Classical Twist' tour last autumn, Vlad has been busy. Guest appearances on John Murray (RTE) and Ian Dempsey (Today FM) followed a sold out National Concert Hall and a spot on the Late Late Show. He has just been in the studio working on new tracks for an EP release which will be released on Rubyworks shortly. Vlad and his band were recently filmed in concert by RTE TV for a forthcoming edition of 'Nationwide'. His tour opens on Wednesday 13th April, at Trim Castle Hotel, Trim, and will visit The Venue Theatre, Ratoath, on Wednesday 30th April. Also on his tour are: Sunday 1st May, Town Hall Theatre, Galway; Thursday 5th May, Civic Theatre, Tallaght, Dublin; Saturday 7th May, Draoicht Arts Centre, Blanchardstown,; Sunday 8th May, The Sugar Club, Dublin. Tickets for the Meath concerts are €20, on sale now at the venues. For more information see www.vladimirmusic.com.
