Derek Donohoe gave the winners an interval lead, but Trim's second goal arrived from an injury-time Mark McCormack penalty. There was a surprise defeat for Kells Celtic when they knocked out by Kingscourt. Cavan Town beat Ardee on penalties and Athboy edged out BJD Celtic.
