Laois match postponed

Tonight's (Saturday) NFL Div 2 match between Meath and Laois has been postponed due to a flooded pitch at O'Moore Park Portlaoise. It is hoped to play the game tomorrow in Portlaoise at 2.30, subject to a pitch inspection in the morning, Meath manager Seamus McEnaney has made four changes to the team that started the O'Byrne Shield final against Dublin for Sunday's NFL Div 2 opener against Laois at Portlaoise. Trim goalkeeper Brendan Murphy returns in place of Paddy O'Rourke, while Brian Meade will replace Brian Menton at centre-back. The other two changes will see Graham Reilly come in for David Morgan and Cian Ward replace Brian Farrell. Paddy Gilsenan will make his first NFL start, while Simonstown's Seamus Kenny has been appointed captain for 2011.
