Parkvilla score three

Parkvilla got their Leinster Senior League Div 1A campaign under way in earnest with their first win of the season at Claremont Stadium tonight. Following two draws from their opening three games, it was a vital win for manager Brendan Kennedy who has every reason to be optimistic from the evidence of this performance. Alan Kerr opened the scoring on the stroke of half-time and second-half goals from Dave O'Neill and substitute Ciaran Rogers sealed victory. Whitehall pulled a goal back near the end through David Cox after Parkvilla conceded a needless free near the penalty area. Full report in the next edition of the Meath Chronicle.
