MS fundraiser with a difference in Trim

The North-East MS Therapy Centre in Trim will mark World MS Day on Wednesday 26th May with a unique coffee morning at the Porchfields, The therapy centre, in conjunction with the Meath MS branch and Pauline Baker of Irish Balloon Flights, is planning a coffee morning with a difference. The unique location will be the Porchfields, Trim, situated on the banks of the Boyne river, with Trim Castle as a backdrop. The theme this year is giving people living with MS in the north-east region a 'lift' - just as hyperbaric oxygen therapy and the other therapies such as physiotherapy, massage and reflexology available in the centre do. The coffee morning will start at 10am and continue until 12 noon. A 'cuppa' will be just the perfect complement to the display (weather permitting) of Irish Balloon Flights and their powered paragliding colleagues who will also be dropping in and out. Meanwhile, the North East MS Centre will hold a holistic therapy day on Saturday 29th May when people will have the chance to try holistic therapies such as reflexology, aromatherapy, Indian head massage, amatsu (Japanese massage) and acupuncture. The Holistic Therapy Day will run from 12 noon-4pm when, for €25, anyone can sample anyone or all of these therapies under one roof. There will also be advice on diet and nutrition. The centre is urging people to come along, have an enjoyable experience and know that their contribution will be used to continue providing services and support to people living with MS in the north-east. To further emphasise the connection between oxygen and health, a representative of OxyHealth, the world's largest manufacturer of portable hyperbaric chambers, will be on hand to demonstrate their products.
