The Irish Pink Floyd Tour plays The Palace Navan, on Friday 12th March. The five-piece band (nine, counting the sound, lighting and visual technicians) who rock out Pink Floyd's non-singles as frequently as the hits, the Irish Pink Floyd has managed to recapture to perfection the musical skills and stage theatrics of the band that has influenced generations Touring extensively and receiving rapturous acclaim over recent months, the Irish Pink Floyd present an exhilarating audiovisual live show that spans the entire 16-album repertoire that their mentors amassed during their 30-year tenure as the archetypal pioneers of experimental rock. Described as 'a musical and visual feast for the Pink Floyd fanatic as well as the casual fan alike', the Irish Pink Floyd presents a show that combines the very best of Pink Floyd's back catalogue with the extravagance of their legendary lives shows. The Irish Pink Floyd set list for 2009 includes songs from 'The Dark Side of the Moon', 'Animals', 'Wish You Were Here', 'The Wall' and 'The Final Cut'. Visually the show is stunning, with the largest sound and lighting system currently on tour in Ireland. As a special treat for fans in 2009, the Irish Pink Floyd will be performing with a quadraphonic sound system in selected venues nationwide. Combine all this with a three meter circular video screen at the rear of the stage projecting a mixture of film footage, stills and animation and you get a show that is as visually powerful as the music itself.
