'My First Time' in Ratoath at weekend

The Irish premiere of 'My First Time' comes to Ratoath this weekend, starring Leigh Arnold (The Clinic), Alan Devine (Louie in Fair City), Claire Tully (The Sun), and comedian Alan Shortt. This Irish production by Michael Scott features a number of stories taken directly from the Irish website for the show www.myfirstime.ie. Used anonymously, for good reason, they tell of typical 'Irish' situations: a bedsit in Cork … in a field with an audience of bleating sheep … on the way home from school… the back of the chipper…! In 1998, a website was created that allowed people to openly and anonymously share their own true stories about their 'first times'. The website became an instant phenomenon as over 70,000 stories poured in from around the globe that were silly, sweet, absurd, funny, heterosexual, homosexual, shy, outrageous and everything in between. You can go online now and tell your story and it may be featured (anonymously) in the show! Go to www.myfirsttime.ie. 'My First Time' plays The Venue Theatre, Ratoath, on Saturday 6th March.
