'Eastenders' (BBC 1, Friday) - Since Archie Mitchell's murder in the Queen Vic on Christmas Day, viewers have been trying to guess this 'whodunit'. Tonight, the moment has finally arrived and millions of expectant viewers will find out who has blood on their hands in EastEnders' first-ever live episode. _____________________________________________________________ 'Transatlantic Sessions' (RTE 1, Friday) - The last programme of the series features James Taylor and Gaelic star Julie Fowlis, while regular house-band guitarist, Russ Barenberg, has a characteristically delicate solo feature. But the series ends with something completely different: Liam " Maonlai and the Liamettes (Martha Wainwright, Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh, Julie Fowlis and Emily Smith) with the jazz number Nina Simone made her own, 'Worksong'. _____________________________________________________________ 'Scannal!' (RTE 1, Monday) - On 17th February 1992, the Attorney General secured a High Court injunction which prevented a 14-year-old-girl from going to England for an abortion. Known as 'Miss X' to protect her identity, the teenager had become pregnant as a result of being raped by the father of a school friend. The court's decision sent the media into a frenzy, beginning a storm of protest, public outrage and created political turmoil within Albert Reynolds' new Government. It became known as the 'X Case' and it was to re-ignite hugely controversial abortion debates which surrounded the 8th Amendment to the Constitution. 'Scannal!' looks back at a story that gripped the nation and raised the issue of abortion once again, an issue subsequent governments have failed to fully deal with through legislation. ____________________________________________________________ 'Roy' (RTE 2, Monday) - Starring Irish actors Simon Delaney and Cathy Belton, 'Roy' is the world's first cartoon boy living in the real world. This original new comedy, filmed as a fly-on-the-wall documentary series, combines hand-drawn animation with real-world drama as it follows how one boy struggles to fit in. Roy thinks he's just like any normal 11-year-old. Born into a real world, he is an everyday kid living in an everyday house in an everyday street in the suburb of Ballyfermot in Dublin and inside he feels just like an ordinary kid. He shares the same hopes, aspirations, friendships and fallings out. The trouble is he's animated. Based on the short film 'Badly Drawn Roy' which was filmed under the Irish Film Board Frameworks scheme. _____________________________________________________________ 'Seven Days In Traffic' (ITV, Tuesday) - Filming seven days on some of the busiest roads in the world reveals the impact of traffic on ordinary people, including life and death situations that unfold amid the 24 million journeys made in London each day. Three-quarters of British people have access to a car, and on average they spend 38 minutes a day in the car and travel on average almost 6,000 miles a year by car. But what does traffic really do to us? Who's controlling it? And what's going on in the car next to you? _____________________________________________________________ Movie Of The Week: 'Clear And Present Danger' (More 4, Friday) - Harrison Ford as hero Jack Ryan takes matters into his own hands when a rogue CIA agent begins covert action in Colombia. To save the lives of US operatives, he throws himself into a secret war of which he knows nothing, and a conflict with his own President. One of the better adaptations of Tom Clancy's books.
