Safety issues at Navan school

Dear sir - I am writing to highlight, once again, the lack of a pedestrian crossing at Scoil Naomh Eoin, Navan. We are the only school in the area that has neither a crossing or a lollipop person. I realise funds are low, but the school has been there for five years with increasing numbers of children attending. The traffic has significantly increased also. It is lucky there has been no fatality to date. The school and the individual parents have written to the council about the situation, even signing a petition, but to no avail. I am hoping that continuous highlighting of the situation will eventually embarrass the council to rectify it. Yours, Mrs A Kennedy, Clonmagadden Fort, Proudstown Road, Navan.
