Rescheduled 'SIVE' in Ratoath

Avenue Theatre Productions, the in-house theatre company at the Venue Theatre, Ratoath, has rescheduled its production of 'Sive' which had to be postponed as a result of the inclement weather in January. Performances for schools will take place at 11am on Thursday 11th and Friday 12th February, and at 8pm on Thursday 11th, Friday 12th and Saturday 13th February. Sive is John B Keane's timeless classic about the dire consequences wrought on the life of a young woman by the greed of a matchmaker and the lovelessness of her family. Avenue Theatre Productions was formally founded in September 2009. A professional in-house production company at the Venue Theatre, the company's aim is to produce high-quality, professional theatre productions to services both the educational needs of young people and the appetite for live theatre amongst audiences in the east-Meath catchment area and beyond. The cast includes Sarah Jane Seymour from Dunshaughlin as Sive, Matthew O'Brien fro Navan as Liam Scuab, Bridget Burke from Ratoath as as Mena, Diana O'Connor, Harry O'Connor, Killian Sheridan, Eoin Langford, Sean Callan, and Vincent Browning. Directed by Brian Murray, with set designer Jimmy Zalkas, set construction Bobby White, the assistant director is Ashling Bodkin.
