Oldcastle priest"s album for hospice movement

Long before Northern Ireland had its three singing priests, Meath had its own melodic clergyman in the form of Fr Ray Kelly, now parish priest in Oldcastle. Fr Kelly was well-known for his performances and some years ago produced 'Simply Me", an album of his favourite songs. On Saturday night next, 11th July, he will launch a second CD in Clonmellon, 'More of Me!", which promises to be just as inspiring as the first. The proceeds of this album will go to the North Westmeath Hospice and Pallative Care in Delvin. In a note on the CD sleeve, the former Navan curate says that about three years ago 'Simply Me" was his first attempt at recording, and he expected his last. 'However, after its great success, I knew it was a matter of time before you would have 'more of Me". The people in my parish of Oldcastle can take a huge part in encouraging this production.' Fr Kelly dedicates the album to all who have experienced losses in life. 'More of Me" was recorded and produced at Castle Studios, Oldcastle, with harmonies by Rosin Cooper and the pupils of Gilson School, Oldcastle, on 'I Have a Dream", and Scoil Mhuire, Moylagh, on 'The Millennium Prayer". Other tracks include 'Panis Angelicus", You"ll Never Walk Alone", 'Ave Maria", The Wind Beneath My Wings", 'The Old Rugged Cross", 'You Raise Me Up", 'O Holy Night" and 'My Way". It will be launched in Isaac"s Well function rooms, Clonmellon, at 8.30pm on Saturday night, with €10 admission.
