Big hole in one incentive at Trim school"s golf classic

St Michael"s National School and Autism Centre, Trim, will host its annual golf classic at Knightsbrook Golf Club, Trim, on Friday 12th June. The classic this year is sponsored by Cusack Homes and the Cusack Hotel Group and Knightsbrook Golf Club. An added bonus this year is the prize for a hole in one on Knightsbrook"s famous 18th hole. Anyone lucky enough to 'ace" the par three finishing hole will receive a magnificent Skoda Superb car from TMC Car Sales, Navan. In September 2000 St Michael"s embraced the challenge of providing educational facilities for children with autism. Since then, this facility has gone from strength to strength with a staff of teachers and six special needs assistants. The school also has plans to open an extra class and autism pre-school in the next two years. The mainstream boys" school has 10 classes from second to sixth and caters for 300 pupils at these levels. Many special needs pupils are integrated with children of their peers in the mainstream school as much as possible. There is an ongoing need for funds to meet the costs of the facilities and resources in the school and this year"s golf classic is the centrepiece of the school"s fundraising for 2009. The school is very appreciative of all donations and any support.
