New US movie role for Trim actress alongside Olivia Tracey

Trim native actress Tracy Coogan and former Miss Ireland Olivia Tracey, who are both based in the US, are to star in upcoming dark restaurant comedy film, 'The Devil in the Kitchen", which Tracy will also produce. Coogan, daughter of Mickey and Angie, went to New York over a decade ago for the summer to represent Ireland in the Helen Rogers International Model and Talent Association. She remained in New York to pursue her acting career, earning theatre credits in several productions. Her first on screen credit was the Woody Allen movie 'Celebrity", and later she starred in the television series 'Love without Borders". After moving to Los Angeles, Coogan starred in the horror cult hit 'Zombie Honeymoon" and was part of British writer/director Jake Kennedy"s new movie 'Penance". She had the lead next to James Russo in the psychological thriller 'Dark Woods" on which she also served as associate producer. 'The Devil in the Kitchen" also stars the well-known Dublin born actress Olivia Tracey. The former Miss Ireland is best known for her work in theatre and as a model, journalist, and television personality. Tracey"s on screen credits include 'Agnes Brown", Michael Bay"s 'The Island", with Robert Duvall in Curtis Hanson"s 'Lucky You", and 'Red Roses and Petrol" where she starred as Moya Doyle next to Malcolm McDowell. On television she has been featured in 'The Handler" and 'Gilmore Girls". Olivia Tracy was recently selected as the 2009 Irish Woman of the Year by the Irish Fair Committee in conjunction with the City of Los Angeles. 'The Devil in the Kitchen" is European -trained chef Herbert M Brindl"s first film script and is based on his short story 'The Recipe", an almost autobiographical account of his adventures in the kitchen and will be executive produced by David Gebroe. It will be directed by award winning German director Boris Schaarschmidt. Composer Patrick Kirst will be responsible for adding the right mood to the movie, in which Austrian chef Herbert and his Irish wife Ann (Coogan) are soul mates. They share the same insatiable appetite for fine cuisine and fine wine. Together they have created a haven for gourmets and gourmands, running and owning their dream restaurant in Los Angeles, where they can enjoy the fruits of their labour. Off course running such a fine restaurant does not go unnoticed, so naturally the critics have come to sample this very delicate cuisine. One such critic, Mr Spagat, the most famous and harshest food critic of them all. Renowned for using his power to equally praise a restaurant and degrade a restaurant in the same sentence.
