Navan schools stage 'My Fair Lady'

Fifth year and transition year students from St Michael"s Loreto Secondary School and St Patrick"s Classical School have spent the last three months preparing for their production of the famous musical 'My Fair Lady". The show opens on Wednesday 3rd December and runs until Sunday 7th December, at 8pm nightly at St Mary"s Commmunity Centre, Trimgate Street, Navan. Produced by Olivia Toman and directed by Richie Ball and Sheila O Keefe, fifth year student Danielle Williamson plays the demanding role of Eliza Doolittle, while sixth year student Kevin Fagan has an equally challenging role as Professor Higgins. Other new talents include Liam Bourke as Pickering, Robyn Fitzsimons as Mrs Higgins, Caoileann Ni Dhonnachadha as Mrs Pearse and Andrew Crowe as Alfred Doolittle. There are 58 talented students involved from both schools and all have worked tirelessly preparing for this production. In addition there are well over 30 students helping backstage and front of house so this really is a huge school effort. Already tickets are selling fast in both schools. Tickets are available from either school or at the door. Preview tickets Wednesday €10, all other nights €15.
