Meath men star in Aussie test

Kevin Reilly and David Gallagher were key figures as Ireland won the first of the two-game International Rules series by 45-44 in Perth this afternoon. Reilly was a pillar of strength in the Irish defence throughout the contest while Gallagher produced a outstanding performance. The Dunboyne man saved a first-quarter penalty then brilliantly denied Mark Murphy a certain goal in the second-quarter. Sean Cavanagh was the most outstanding player on view while Leighton Glynn, John Keane, Kieran Donaghy and Micheal Meehan also impressed for Sean Boylan's side.
