Family travel to Turkey after body found

Relatives of the Julianstown barman, who went missing while on holiday in Turkey in August, flew out to Turkey last week following the discovery of a body in heavy undergrowth near the port of Bodrum, in the south-west of the country. The Department of Foreign Affairs, which has been offering consular assistance to the family of Mark O"Neill, said that DNA tests were still taking place, but it was believed the body was that of Mr O"Neill. Mr O"Neill (35) was originally from Swords, but had been living and working at the Julianstown for several months. He was on holiday with members of his family in the port town of Bodrum when he went missing on 15th August last. He was last seen leaving his hotel room at the Manuela Hotel in Bodrum at around 4pm on that day. He is believed to have suffered an epileptic seizure at the start of his holiday, and had stayed in his room for most of the week. Mr O"Neill had been due to return home the day after his disappearance. Following his disappearance, other members of his family flew out to Turkey to join the search and made an appeal for information on a Turkish TV station. The family is currently awaiting news of test results on a body, which is believed to have been discovered by two hunters last week.
