MRS A JORDAN, TRIM

 THE death recently occurred, in the care of her family at home after a long illness, of Mrs Anne Jordan, Tullaghanogue, Trim. She was aged 80 years. 

Wife of the late Tom Jordan, who predeceased her in 1983, Mrs Jordan (nee Conneelly) was one of 37 families who were relocated from Connemara in 1937 to Lambay in County Meath, and celebrated the 70th anniversary of the move in April 2007.

Deceased will be remembered as a devoted mother, a loving grandmother and a loyal and trusted neighbour who displayed wonderful courage in dealing with her illness. A sensitive and compassionate person, she had great wit and laughter. 

Mrs Jordan was true to herself and to others. She approached her illness without fear, and always had a sensible and practical outlook on life. Loved by many and adored by all, she will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.

Deceased is survived by her sons, Padraig, Sean, Thomas, Seamus and Martin; daughters, Mary, Norah, Ann, Eileen, Pauline, Barbara, Bridie, Mairead, Patricia and Edel; 45 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and brother, Mick, Yorkshire, England.

The funeral Mass took place in the Church of Assumption, Kilbride, Trim, with burial in the adjoining cemetery following. Her month's memory Mass will take place this Saturday, 12th April, in the Church of the Assumption, Kilbride, at 6pm.

MR M BRADY, MOYNALTY

CONSIDERABLE sadness was occasioned in late March around Moynalty with the news of the passing of Mr Matthew (Matty) Brady of Ballincleva at James Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown.

The Moynalty native was aged 77 and is survived by his wife, Ita; family, Rosina, Padraig, Caroline, Ronan, Sandra and Yvonne; brothers, Pat (Australia) and Denis (Isle of Wight); sister, Sheila (Yorkshire); relatives, neighbours and friends.

His remains were removed to Moynalty Church where Funeral Mass was celebrated prior to interment in St Mary's Cemetery.  His month's mind Mass will be celebrated in that Church on Saturday, 26th April at 11am.

MR G BLAKE, KILMAINHAMWOOD

THERE was much sadness in Kilmainhamwood and district with the news of the recent passing of Mr George Blake (77) of Cruicetown at Our Lady's Hospital, Navan. The retired farmer is survived by his wife, Nan; daughters Imelda, Geraldine, Helen and Siobhan; sons, George, Oliver and Declan; grandchildren, great-grandchild, sisters, Margie, Kitty and Molly; brother, Frank; relatives and friends.

His remains were removed to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Kilmainhamwood where Funeral Mass was followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

MR S FOX, KINNEGAD

THERE was great sadness in the Kinnegad area following the death of Mr Seamus (Shay) Fox who died on 13th March in his 91st year.

Mr Fox of 'The Burrows' Killaskillen, Kinnegad, died at home in the care of his loving family. He is predeceased by his wife, Monica, in March 2004. Mr Fox was a farmer until his retirement.

Deceased is survived by son, James; daughter-in-law; grandchildren, Aoife and Jamie Fox; sister, brother, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and a large circle of friends.

His remains were removed to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Ballinabrackey for funeral Mass with burial afterwards in Castlejordan Cemetery.

MR J MCAULEY, KILDALKEY.

THE regretted death occurred of Joseph McAuley, Moyrath, Kildalkey in his 100th year, on 9th March last.

Mr McAuley was Kildalkey's oldest parishioner and farmed until the age of 72. He was predeceased by his wife Rose, in 1974.

Deceased was a son of John and Catherine McAuley (nee McCormack) and was the youngest of 11 children. He was predeceased by his two brothers and eight sisters.

He is survived by daughters, Mrs Kathleen Murphy, Kilcock, Mrs Mary Carroll, Kildalke;  sons, Sean McAuley, Kildalkey, Tommy  McAuley, Manchester, Anthony McAuley, Dorset and Joe McAuley Lisclogher.

He was predeceased by son James and his wife Ann, and son Gerald and his sons-in-law Michael Murphy and Gerald Carroll.

The funeral mass took place in St Dympna's Church, Kildalkey, with burial afterwards in Kildalkey Cemetery.
