Darren Melia had an outstanding game in a spirited, battling performance from the winners with Ryan Andrews also impressive. Leading by 3-0 at the break Kells/Blackwater wrapped up a big win over Muirhevnamor in this u-14 SFAI Cup first round tie at Kells on Saturday with Sam Ubembe getting a hat-trick. Lee Rennicks bagged two goals with Sam Needle also finding the net. Superb for the winners were Ubembe, Lee Rennicks, Needle and Craig Mooney.

Trim Celtic advanced to the next round of the u-14 SFAI Cup when they defeated Dromin on Saturday with Donal Callan bagging four goals. Lee Dixon added two with Fionn Nally and Gavin Mullen contributing one apiece. The winners had excellent displays from Mullen, Callan, Dixon and Sean Fitzgerald.

Aaron Winters also hit four for the Trim side with Gareth White and Jack Johnston helping themselves to two goals apiece. Others to score were Sean Dalton, Jake Shanley and Colin Henebery.
