Fox and Flood in form at Fairyhouse

Ardcath jockey Ger Fox has formed a profitable partnership with the Francis Flood-trained Sunsetstorise and won his second race this month with the eight-year-old which hadn't won in 21 outings and now has two-in-a-row following yesterday's success at Fairyhouse.

Fox partnered Sunsetstorise to an overdue first win at Fairyhouse on 20th January and followed up at the track again yesterday winning the BoyleSports Irish Grand National March 28th Handicap Chase.

It was the third time that Fox partnered Sunsetstorise and the record is a second place and two wins.

Ashbourne jockey Andrew Lynch took the opener at Fairyhouse when he steered the Sabrina Harty-trained Crafty Power (11/4) to victory in the Coolmore Leading Light & Ocovango Maiden Hurdle.

Local trainer Dermot McLoughlin took the bumper with the impressive Avellino and suggested that a listed mares' bumper at Sandown could be a possible target.
