Meath team named for allireland showdown

The Meath team to take on Kerry in the All-Ireland B MHC final on Saturday has been announced.

There were doubts about the availability of Charlie Bird and Gavin McGowan because of injury but both these players have been included in the starting line-up.

The game takes place at Nenagh, 1.0 and the Royal County manager Stephen Masterson is hoping his young guns will get plenty of support.

Meath defeated Kildare in the quarter-final and they were due to take on Westmeath in the last four.

However the Lake County withdrew their team because of a number of incidents that took place following their victory over Armagh.

Masterson believes games at this level can be a big factor in helping young players achieve their full potential.
