Championship and A FL proposals for next Monday night

All the proposals for next Monday night's GAA Co Committee meeting where the format for the champiionships and leagues will be finalised. SENIOR FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP That the SFC for 2012 remain at 17 teams in three groups. Two groups of 6 teams and one group of 5. That the SFC for 2013 consist of 18 teams. To achieve this, no relegation at end of 2012 also Intermediate winner included. Groups to be drawn in rotation and knock-out draws are pre-determined. Top 3 teams in Group A, B and C will qualify for knock out stages. INTERMEDIATE FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP For 2012 there shall be 15 teams in IFC (three groups of 5 Teams). Rest of regulation same as in 2011. Start of 2014 there shall be 18 teams in IFC. To achieve this, there shall be no relegation from IFC 2012. Promote the Junior Football "A" Championship finalists (+2). Start of 2013 16 teams in IFC. End of 2013 Intermediate winners promoted to Senior. No relegation from IFC. One team relegated from Senior. Promote the Junior Football "A" Championship finalists. 18 teams for Intermediate for start of 2014. IFC 2013 16 teams. One group of 6 teams. Two groups of 5 teams. Top team in Group A qualifies for Semi Final. The second and third teams in Group A along with the top 2 Teams in Group B & C qualifies for Quarter Finals. 2014 teams qualifying same as Senior. Three Groups of six teams. JUNIOR "A" FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP Start of 2012 23 teams in Junior "A" Football Championship. Three groups of six teams and one group of 5 teams (same as 2011). Start of 2014 There shall be 18 teams in Junior "A" Football Championship. To achieve this:- End of 2012 Junior "A" Football Championship finalists promoted. Bottom team relegated to Junior "B". Junior "B" winners promoted (21 teams). Start of 2013 21 Teams in Junior "A" Football Championship. End of 2013 Junior "A" Football Championship finalists promoted. Bottom 2 teams relegated to Junior "B". Promoted Junior "B" winners. 18 teams in Junior "A" Football Championship for 2014. JUNIOR "B" FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP Start of 2012 There shall be 16 teams in Junior "B" Football Championship. It shall be run in one group of six teams and two groups of five teams. Top team in group A qualifies for Semi Final. The second and third team in Group A along with top two teams in Group B & C qualifies for Quarter Finals. ALL COUNTY "A" FOOTBALL LEAGUES 2012 That division 1, 2 and 3 remain as they are for 2012. DIVISION 4 shall have one group of 16 teams for 2012. Division 1 end of 2012 Top two teams from division 2 promoted. No relegation from division 1. For 2013 14 teams in division 1. Division 2 end of 2012 10 teams plus 2 teams promoted from division 3. Division 3 No relegation. For 2013 12 teams in division 2. Division 3 end of 2012 10 teams plus 2 teams up from division 4. No relegation from division 3. Start of 2013 14 teams in division 4. Division 1 end of 2013 Two teams relegated from division 1. Two teams promoted from division 2. Start of 2014 14 teams in division 1. Division 2 end of 2013 Two teams promoted from division 3.
