Navan resident produces new flavour of cat food

A Meath-based entrepreneur has patented a new line in pet food which should be welcomed by countless cat-owners up and down the country.

Following months of research and experiments, Alexander Puskas, a Hungarian-native who has been living in the Navan area for a few years, is set to produce an exciting addition to the selection of brands on offer which should make cats up and down the country lick their licks in anticipation and purr with delight.

Puskas’ inventive product of mouse-flavoured cat food comes about as a result of demands from many quarters for such a delicacy from lovers of feline pets throughout Ireland.

“We have had the choice of beef, chicken, turkey, salmon and tuna but now the announcement of the coming of mouse as an extra item on the choice list is terrific news,” a woman who is the owner of 10 cats outside Kells gleefully said. “After all cats have been chasing mice for hundreds of years and it is about time they got a taste of the rodent from a tin,” she added.

Puskas has dismissed suggestions that many cat-owners may boycott the products on the grounds that it could add an unpleasant odour to homes. “No, I don’t have any fears about that and, mark my words, this is far from a Mickey Mouse venture,” he remarked.

The developer says the new product should be in shops and stores during the summer months.
