Christine walking tall at meath style awards

Christine Callaghan of Stiletto was walking tall after she won the Specsavers-sponsored 2015 Excellence In Style award at the fifth Meath Style Awards on Friday night.

Hosted by the Headfort Arms Hotel, Kells, it was a gala and glitzy evening in front of the Irish TV cameras and compere Karina Charles.

There was stiff competition across the 10 categories with three nominees in each section as 30 contenders set out for the coveted 2015 title that forced some tough decisions on the judging panel.

Each category winner was eligible for the overall award and after the selection process was completed, 10 top class contenders had to be cut down to one overall winner.

The evening was kick-started by host Olivia Duff from the Headfort Arms Hotel who congratulated all the nominees in each of the 10 categories.

Mary McGuigan of Celtic Media Group and the Meath Chronicle told some 300 guests that the awards had become so successful that similar events were planned for Westmeath and Mayo through the local newspapers there – Westmeath Examiner and Connaught Telegraph with Specsavers local to each area supporting the new events.

The Meath Style Awards covered by Irish Television and will be shown (with scheduled repeats) soon after Easter.
