Join 199 other drummers on Hill of Tara!

Heritage Week 2014 will be launched on the Hill of Tara by 200 drummers on Saturday 23rd August from 2pm to 5pm. John Bowker of Tribal Spirit Drumming will facilitate this community event. He is one of Ireland’s leading community drum facilitators and is renowned for his friendly and playful workshops. John is particularly skilled at creating a space where absolute beginners fully enjoy the magic and power of the hand drum!

Clare Tuffy, Office of Public Works said: “Heritage Week is a fantastic celebration of our wonderful heritage; its launch this year on the Hill of Tara with 200 drummers will be an amazing spectacle."

The event is organised by the Office of Public Works and Meath County Council Arts and Heritage Office and is suitable for ages eight upwards, no experience is necessary and all hand drums will be supplied. This is a free event but pre-booking is essential at or phone 046-9097414.
